Joe Moss, a man who always wore a tie, loved football, QPR in particular, the written word in any shape or form and Jazz music

Joe Moss celebrated his 90th birthday on 1st September 2022 with a family lunch party at a local pub. A cake made to look like a vinyl record, so realistic he thought it was real. He also had a garden tea party two days later with balloons decorating the garden and many more delicious homemade cakes.

He loved anything that would challenge his brain especially Monday night quiz night where he could pit his considerable wits agains the contestants on Mastermind, Only Connect and University Challenge. He loved books and was always keen to discuss the storyline and share the books with others.

He had a wicked sense of humour and loved to keep up with current affairs. His most recent social commentary was regarding the 'Oily Protestors' from Extinction Rebellion, probably secretly siding with them (ever the rebel) despite the disruption they caused.

In his recent years he could be seen on his motorised scooter going into the local own to enjoy time at his favourite store, searching out favourite jazz music and interesting books.

Widowed only three years ago he leaves behind three children, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He will be very much missed by all those who knew and loved him.
