Doug Hart
The cornerstone of our family and a friend to so many. A man with a great and contemplating mind, a kind soul and generous to a fault.
Dad, Doug, Dougie, Dougal, Douglas, Uncle, Grandad, - whatever anyone called him it was said with immense love. He was the cornerstone of our family and a friend to so many people. He had a great and contemplating mind, he was a kind soul always putting others first, and he was generous to a fault. Those who knew him also knew he could be very, very cheeky!
Throughout his life Doug loved being involved in the community, he spent a great deal of time on scouting activities as an assistant leader and running the Roxeth District bar! His hobby for many years was darts, not only did he enjoy playing in tournaments he was also a great organiser. When he wasn't darting or scouting he was reading, easily finishing an entire book in a day.
Doug never complained even in ill-health, he quietly went about his business and always found time for others, sharing jokes and his wisdom.
He will be missed so very, very much.
