Dad used to always say "Once a Grenadier always a Grenadier". To me he was Dad, loved so much and respected. A wise man who always had an answer and the time for us.
He was so central to our lives and has left such a huge gaping hole.
He taught us to drive as kids, great fun on an empty campsite, taught me to drive my first horsebox-we had Yorkie bars for the trip like I was a real truckie.
The wagon carries our horse named Charlie after Dad and is shown as The Grenadier in honour of his military service and how proud we all are of him. My daughter Stacey wears Dads regimental tie in her classes at shows.
My children Stacey, Kate and Alex love you so much-you were a wonderful Grandad to them too and they spent many a happy holiday at the caravan with you and Mum,
I shall miss you forever Dad, you were my inspiration and my guidance.
I can't believe it's 2 years since you were taken, life is still very empty without you Dad. Don't think I'll ever get used to it.
