Kenneth Moore

Ken was married to Joy and a father of two.
Ken was born on the 17th October 1923 and moved with his mother to Tooting nine months later. At the age of nine his sold up her hair dressers and move to Drift Bridge (near Banstead Surrey) and then married Albert Victor. ken left school at 14 and worked at a local garage. In 1939 he started a job with an engineering in Tolworth. At the start of the war they moved to making aircraft parts. In 1943 he was called up into the army as was a carrier driver with the 49th West Riding Regiment. Ken was demobbed in June 1947 and worked at a garage in Godalming and during this time meet Joy who was working as a nursery nurse in Stoneleigh.
On the 12th March 1949 Ken and Joy were married four days before joy's 21st birthday. In June 1948 had joined the London County as a bus driver. July 1950 Mick the was born and later that year they moved in their first home near Tadworth.
In July 1951 Ken joined then Vickers Armstrong as a tinsmith and in November Linda was born.
They all remained in the at Tadworth house until Ken and Joy their forever home in Fairlands.
Ken retired in May 1987 when it was known as B A C who closed the site.
Sadly on the 18th December that year Joy passed away and Ken buried himself in jobs around the house that ne and Joy had wanted to do.
Ken had planned him time during the days with domestic chores and volunteer driving for the DHSS,
Ken stopped Driving in 2015 and bought an electric scooter to use.
During 2022 Ken has many minor fall so he agreed to move onto a care home, but in November he had another fall and broke his hip, but sadly passed away on hospital on the 12th of December.
