The Battle Back Fund for wounded soldiers

Royal british legion badge

Since the Afghanistan conflict began in 2001, over 339 British service personnel have died in battle. Many of them were very young, in their 20s and 30s. Many more out there are just as young.

To honour those who have died in recent conflicts and to help those who return injured, we are aiming the raise £50million - £26million to fund Personal Recovery Centres and £24million to build a Battle Back Challenge Centre.

The conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq have left have left hundreds of soldiers with life changing injuries - our centres will provide residential and day care facilities to them recover and rehabilitate through treatment, physio and exercise.

You can donate directly to this fund or you can start your own Sub Fund to help raise money for the centres through an event or special day. The money raised will help fund the centres for the next 10 years.

If someone close to you has served in recent conflicts, contributing to the Battle Back Fund is an extremely positive way of honouring them. You can also share your memories in the visitors book below.

A special Remembrance Poppy will also be planted at the My Remembrance Day Tribute at the National Memorial Arboretum. Your Remembrance Poppy will display your loved one’s name and will be planted in order of month as specified in your My Remembrance Day tribute. The National Memorial Arboretum is situated
at Croxall Road, Alrewas, Staffordshire and you are very welcome to visit your
Remembrance tribute.
