What will you never forget about Andrew?
I've never met a more courageous and brave man, absolutely fearless, he protected his loved ones for nothing in return. A pure and beautiful soul.

When I told Andy I was running another Marathon he was behind me all the way, though he thought I was crazy wanting to put myself through that pain voluntarily. Six months down the line it devastates me to think that on April 17th I will be running the London Marathon in memory of him.

When I told Andy I was running another Marathon he was behind me all the way, though he thought I was crazy wanting to put myself through that pain voluntarily. Six months down the line it devastates me to think that on April 17th I will be running the London Marathon in memory of him.
Captain Andrew Griffiths was serving with the 2nd Battalion Duke of Lancasters Regiment, his fathers Regiment, Andy was destined to follow in his father footsteps and was immensely proud to be serving alongside him. Though tragically on his second tour of Afghanistan Andy was wounded whilst leading his platoon, and lost his fight for life in September 2010.
Andy was my Soulmate, someone I admired and loved dearly. The day he became a fallen Hero, my heart shattered into a thousand pieces, and I am now on a journey to keep his memory alive because he truly was the most amazing man.
My aim is to raise £2,000 for the Royal British Legion's Battle Back Fund, a fund which; will provide Personal Recovery Centres and a Battle Back Centre, to honour those who have passed and for the injured soldiers returning from Afghanistan.
These brave soldiers now need a favour in return, and I don't feel that is much to ask for such a huge sacrifice. Andy gave his life for his country and I ask you from the bottom of my heart to give anything you can, to honour him, and support our injured troops. With Love Lauren. x
